Come in
and
make
yourself comfortable
in
our
friendly
kindergarten!
|
|
Our
full day program allows our teachers to use longer periods of study to firmly
plant math and reading concepts into the minds of kindergartners.
|
|
New concepts are effectively introduced to the class group with
creativity.
Children then work in small groups to digest this
information and exercise what they have learned. The process is then
enhanced by giving each child individual time with the teacher to study
and review each concept.
|

|
|
|
Every morning is dedicated to
MATH and
READING to ensure that the students have a strong foundation in these
fundamental subjects.
The afternoon ENRICHMENT PROGRAM schedules
time for practice and additional review through different learning
activities so that each child has plenty of opportunities to understand
each concept before moving on.
|
|
We offer varied level
Math and
Reading workbooks so that we can adapt to each child's ability, whether on
fundamentals or a more advanced level. The reading is based
on both sight and phonetic learning.
|
|
Children learn quickly how to
identify sight words and sound out new words through a variety of
language-based daily activities such as chart stories, letter sound games,
creative writing, literature, and computer language programs.
What's
more rewarding than reading? The feeling of success!!

Our
MATH PROGRAM
has its foundation in
HANDS ON
LEARNING. All math
concepts, such as addition, values of money, graphing, or spatial
relations, begin in the concrete. We make numbers real with the use
of excellent resources for kindergartners to work with objects to
manipulate and find the answers. The workbook is used to reinforce
and support each concept.
|
|
Adventure Time's afternoon Kindergarten ENRICHMENT PROGRAM also
emphasizes: |

|
Science & Nature
Music & Movement
Computer Skills
Language Arts
Creative Art & Cooking
Social Studies
|
|
Minds
and hands uncover the world each afternoon when we dive
into our
Units of
Study.
These
explorations are strategically linked to all the academic areas.
|

|
Children become "official" paleontologists after
digging for Dinosaur bones. Air, Wind and Weather takes us on a
fascinating field-trip into the world of science.
Where do we get
the word "Utah?" It is a name given to our state by the Native
Americans.
|
|
Adorned in handmade Indian and Pilgrim costumes, we
especially love this unit because we get to MAKE a real Thanksgiving feast
and 'gobble' it up.
During the Earth & Sky Unit we
travel to all the planets in our imaginary 'rocket ship' and
make a model volcano that erupts before our very eyes.
