Skill Development

Busy hands fashion healthy minds, and happy hearts!

As play is a child's work, our emphasis is on fun.

OUR motto is: "We are not caring for days, we are caring for children."

We don't settle for a "DAYcare" mentality or a babysitting environment.

In contrast, our 'Tadpole' and  'Chipmunk' programs were designed with CHILDREN'S needs in mind.

A child's development is moving at lightning speed in these first years, faster than at any other time in their life.

From grasping objects, to sitting up, eating solid foods, taking those first steps, to talking, these beautiful babies are accomplishing amazing achievements every day!

Adventure Time's 'Tadpole' program follows the natural development patterns of each child.

We support the desire for discovery by setting weekly developmental goals that vary depending on which ability they are mastering.  We post these goals to assist parents in their role as teacher at home.

Daily 'skill cards' are also posted and assist the parent-teacher team to follow specific skill building activities which strengthen that child's particular stage of development.

Our infants are exposed to a bright and colorful environment, which helps them develop sensory perception.

The naturally curious toddlers are guided in a safe safari as they explore their world of splendor.

These developmental challenges are confidently reached through attentive and encouraging teachers who get down on a child's level and stimulate their senses.  Exciting exploration is what we're all about!!

In weekly Infant/Toddler staff meetings, teachers are provided with paid professional time to review and assess children's needs and skill progress.

Monthly Infant/Toddler staff meetings give teachers ongoing training to specific infant/toddler issues and promotes high quality administration of our program expectations.

Finally, monthly 'mini-parent conferences' and 'Parent Teacher Conferences' twice a year, bring caregivers and parents together to strengthen this partnership in setting developmental goals and addressing the specific interests of the child.

Treating each child as an individual is critical at this time in their lives and helps each one start developing his or her full creative potential.
